Our aim

We want to encourage our children to wonder, to ponder, to discover, to get excited, to laugh, to get messy, to be creative and to be active. We want them to feel valued and listened to. We want them to become critical thinkers and learn to love learning, and to share their experiences with their family and friends.

Our Preschool

Alconbury Community Preschool was established by a group of local parents in the early 1980’s and was based in an unused classroom in the grounds of Alconbury C of E Primary school. When the village was awarded a grant from the lottery for a new Village Hall, the preschool moved to a designated, secure, and safe room in the hall, accommodating all the preschool needs. Please speak with staff if you would like to join the committee.

We are OFSTED registered, and our last inspection was in December 2023, when we were rated ‘Good’.

“Parents comment that staff truly know their children and use this knowledge to support their children’s development effectively.”
